Staff Accountant | Hybrid | West Metro

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Contract Staff Accountant to support a reconciliation project and month-end close. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant who enjoys digging into the details, resolving discrepancies, and supporting a team as the company continues to grow.

Responsibilities

• Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close and annual audit.
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditures.
• Run financial reports and perform variance analyses.
• Maintain updated billing records and manage incoming payments, ensuring all documentation is correctly applied to the appropriate accounts.
• Identify inefficiencies in accounting process and suggest solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and month-end close processes
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• High attention to detail and an ability to work independently
• Tech savvy - able to pick up on new systems quickly
• Must be able to be onsite 3 days/week

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing industry experience
• Exposure to inventory accounting and/or cost accounting
